The GPS is a Garmin GPS V.  I wasn't using the original windscreen that came with the bike as I had bought a Zero Gravity one so I decided to experiment a bit.  The GPS is mounted to the windscreen using the mounting bracket that came with it and I drilled two small holes in the windscreen.  All is held in place with tie-wraps.  I put a bit of rubber material under the bracket to calm down vibrations a bit.  With this placement, it is very easy to read the small display on the GPS V and the buttons are easy to reach without removing your eyes from the road much.

To protect the GPS from flies and rocks I took an old faceshield that I trimmed a bit with my Dremel and tie-wrapped it to the bike's windshield.  I admit it looks quite 'home-made' but it works.  I'm not one to put form before function.

Here's another closer view of the setup.  Nothing much more to say.
